Green Day & U2 perform 'The Saints Are Coming', originally written by The Skids in hopes to reassure the families of soldies in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Instructions: U2 are a rock band from Dublin, Ireland, featuring Bono (Paul David Hewson) on vocals, rhythm guitar and harmonica; The Edge (David Howell Evans) on lead guitar, keyboards and vocals; Adam Clayton on bass guitar; and Larry Mullen Jr. on drums, percussion and occasional vocals. Green Day is a musical trio from East Bay, California, consisting of Billie Joe Armstrong (guitar, lead vocals), Mike Dirnt (bass, back up vocals) and Tré Cool (drums). Their back up players on guitar and keyboards are Jason White and Jason Freese. Green Day is widely credited, along with fellow California bands The Offspring and Rancid, with reviving mainstream popular interest in punk rock in the United States during the mid 1990s.[1][2] Their success has influenced prominent pop punk bands like Sum 41 and Good Charlotte.[2]
